Whether you are looking for a home, business or industry or a site for a new home, business or industry, you will find that for the size of our community, Rantoul has a lot to offer. Rantoul offers services that other communities can not. We have been in the business of supplying electricity to our citizens for over 100 years as well as water and waste water treatment. This has enabled village residents to reap the benefits of less expensive utility bills and has allowed our utility departments to make significant investment in the systems to guarantee quality service for the citizens. Most areas feature underground electric services and all city streets are well lit.
Savoy is south of Champaign and north of Willard Airport, making Savoy a prime location because it is the south entrance corridor to Champaign.
The Village of Savoy was incorporated in 1956. Savoy maintains a quality of life typically associated with small Midwestern towns, including municipal tax rates far below that of Champaign or Urbana, acreage of prime undeveloped land, a low crime rate, quiet un-congested neighborhoods, and a responsive government.
The Tolono Park District, formed in 1975, is currently working on raising the money necessary to purchase the old Unity Junior High School property. The acreage would allow the park district to expand its services to the community.
Tolono is home to the Unit #7 School District, which serves the educational needs of the towns of Tolono, Philo, Sidney, Sadorus, and Pesotum.
